Join us at The Nightwood for a special Gamay education by our friends at Sunday School. Intimate and accessible, the class will introduce you to the full range of Gamay’s temperaments (from fun and flirty to buttoned-up seriousness). 

 

You’ll taste examples — from both Oregon and the Old World — that show the wine's versatility and character.We’ll tell the story of Gamay’s spectacular rise, fall and rebirth, and you'll also discover why the grape is now gathering a cult of devout followers in the Willamette Valley and beyond. A full flight of Gamay plus delicious fare from The Nightwood included.

Join us for the Oregon Gamay Tasting Salon at The Nightwood featuring over 20 wineries each pouring tastes of their latest Gamay Noir wines.  Trail blazing Oregon wine producers have largely led the domestic growth of Gamay Noir and this will be and West Coast celebration dedicated to the love of Gamay. Food available for purchase.

The Masters of Gamay

The Masters of Gamay is an exciting opportunity to learn about the Gamay grape’s historical significance in France and its exploding interest in the New World with Oregon being the epicenter. The panel will be moderated by one of our favorite sommeliers, Joel Gunderson of Cooper’s Hall, and will feature a four-member panel discussion and led  technical Gamay tasting at Cooper’s Hall. Panelists include Punch wine writer Zachary Sussman, early Oregon Gamay pioneer and famed Biodynamic grower Doug Tunnell of Brickhouse, U.S. brand ambassador of Beaujolais’ Terriors Originels Aurélien Fiardet & well acclaimed Food & Wine Magazine 2015 Sommeliers of the Year Dana Frank.

Put on your party clothes and join us for a raucous Gamay Dinner Party! At long last our SECRET DINNER location has been revealed!! We couldn't be more excited to partner with our friends at Park Avenue Wines to host our Gamay Party! Put your party shoes on because this

 

will be unlike any wine dinner you've ever attended. There will be a bounty of food prepared by Sarah Schneider of The Nightwood Society from our favorite local farms. Wines will be curated by our friends at SE Wine Collective with plenty of West Coast Gamay, vintage French Beaujolais and Gamay Noir. *Most of the evening will be standing with a brief sitting intermission so plan accordingly!

Thursday, May 24 @Coquine

In collaboration with Master Sommelier Nate Ready of Hiyu Wine Farm, and the I LOVE GAMAY festival, we're serving a Gamay centric menu for the table to share. Four courses centered around Spring lamb. A special wine service option will be available as well as by the glass and bottle options focusing on wines from Beaujolais, Oregon and beyond.
